Want to Play Guitar by Summer?

by Angie Mack Reilly

First off.  Be sure that you remember to spring your clocks forward for the time change on Sunday!  Are you as excited as I am???  Yes!  More light!  Less depression for the most of us.  Am I right???  Less crabby people?  Hopefully?

As a twenty year veteran resident of Wisconsin, I know that we ALL looking forward to summer music events, trips “up north”, tailgate parties, times out on the boat and cookouts with neighbors and friends.

Now imagine this.

You are at your favorite summer event with family and friends.  All of the sudden, you whip out the guitar.  “Hey…I didn’t know you played,” they say.

“Well, I signed up for a few A LA CARTE MUSIC LESSONS and can play a few songs!  Here.  Do you know this one?”

At first, they listen.  Then they begin to sing along……

Hey.  It could happen.  For real.

Playing basic rhythm guitar is not as difficult as you might think.  Honest.  (referring to teens and adults for the most part).  All that it takes is some motivation.

Motivation to learn a new skill.

Dude.  Human talent is being taken over by applications and software.  I will save you my dissertation.  But I cannot express how important it is for us humans to do more “offline living“.  <<< Check it out.  A piece I wrote from my book Chronic Creativity.

(and just so you know, I call all kinds of people dude)

Set up a few lessons over the next few months and I promise that I will try my hardest to get you to play your favorite songs by summer.  Let’s DO this!
